The Akhandalamani Temple is a place of great religious significance for Hindus

The Akhandalamani Temple is a famous Hindu temple located in the state of Odisha, India. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva, one of the principal deities in Hinduism. The word "Akhandalamani" is derived from two Sanskrit words: "Akhand" meaning "eternal" or "unbroken" and "Alamani" meaning "jewel".

According to legend, the temple was built by a sage named Markandeya who found a self-manifested lingam (an iconic representation of Lord Shiva) at the site. The temple is believed to be more than 350 years old and is considered one of the most sacred shrines in Odisha.

The temple attracts a large number of devotees throughout the year, particularly during the festival of Shivaratri. The temple is also known for its scenic location, as it is situated on the banks of the Baitarani River, amidst lush green forests and hills
